WILLIAMS, Thomas Lanier III, nicknamed "Tennessee" (1911–1983) [1]. An American playwright and author. His great output of stage plays includes modern classics like The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Night of the Iguana, Orpheus Descending, and Sweet Bird of Youth.
