Usually translated into English as The Gamblers or simply Gamblers.
The play was seemingly adapted by Winifred Katzin and published as Diamond Cuts Diamond in Short Plays from Twelve Countries, a collection of English one act plays selected and edited by Winifred Katzin (London: George G Harrap and Co., 1937).
Katzin's English text, described by Gosher (1988) as a "heavy-handed adaptation of Nikolai Gogol’s text", was later also published as a playtext by DALRO, 1969.
