Bye om 'n Aster (“Bees around a Chrysanthemum”) is an Afrikaans subtitled farce in four parts ("'n Klug in vier dele") by Anna Rudolph (1924-1995).

The original text
Set in a rural community, the play is a farce about Elza, a young girl, who tries to test the love of her fiancé Sarel by flirting with three other men, using various pseudonyms - and Sarel's similar response.
The text was a prizewinner in a national literary competition arranged by the South African Department of Education, Art and Science, and was published in Afrikaans by Voortrekkerpers in 1967.
