As a noun this can refer to

(1) the language Xhosa - designated isiXhosa in that language.

(2) a person belonging to the Xhosa nation.

As an adjective used to refer to matters relating to, belonging to, or created by the Xhosa people (e.g. Xhosa theatre, Xhosa dances, Xhosa history, and so on.)
