Quoted from the programme of A Sleep of Prisoners in 1997 (?) wherein he played the role of Private Peter Abel: 'Much of his schooling passed on film sets where (to name a few) he played Boy Macduff in Macbeth for SATV; the young lead in Under Suspicion - as well as both Settlers series. After a conscripted year playing flute for the SADF, Ulric went into presenting for the SABC and was quiz-master on Gee Whiz. He then went into the musical A Slice of Saturday and the comedy The Earl and the Pussycat - both for Toerien. After playing co-lead in the TV series Getting It Right, Ulric opted for change and moved to Cape Town to read B Mus at UCT and is now in his final year. CAPAB performances include Cabaret and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves - in which he played the title role. Then followed a cabaret stint for the Wild Coast Sun and musical direction of ACTS' Ntsikana at last year's Grahamstown Festival.
