Shwele Bawo! is a one-woman play by Motshabi Tyelele

Also known as Shwele Bawo!: A Grave Injustice.

The original text

The play tells how wife and mother, Dikeledi Nkabinde, finds herself locked-up for the murder of her Black Economic Empowered husband.

Performed in 2008 and published in At This Stage: Plays from Post-apartheid South Africa, edited by Greg Homann. Johannesburg: Wits University Press, 2009.

Performance history in South Africa

The author appeared in a production of this play at Theatre on the Square, Sandton, in January 2008.
