Paul Roumanoff (194*-) is an artist, illustrator set- and costume designer, lecturer


Biography

Went to Northcliff High School (1952 to 1958), then completed a BA Fine Arts Hon. (WITS, 1968) and an MA Dramatic Art (WITS, 1985).


Lives in Noupoort, Northern Cape, South Africa

His career encompassed a lecturer in the Drama Department- Scenographic Design (1961 to 1991, University of the Witwatersrand)School Headmaster, Noupoort Christian Care Centre.

Has been active as freelance artist since 1970s. Exhibitions include:

1975:Mural – Crucifixion – Sevenoaks, Kent, England, 1974:Two painting in Pierre Cardin Collection, Paris, France,

His illustrations include Macbeth (1979, Haum Publishers) and Maseru (1978, Haum Publishers).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He did the designs for inter alia The Gypsy Baron (1989)


Film work includes The Gods must be Crazy II,
