Michelle Simpson (196*-). Actress, dancer, singer.

Biography

Training

Michelle studied drama, singing and various dance forms at the Pretoria Technikon. She later studied singing with Dawie Couzyn.


Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Her first professional appearance was in The Great Waltz in 1987 and she has subsequently performed in many musicals throughout the country. She first started playing nameroles with Gloria Upson in Mame and followed with Frenchie in Grease, Elly May in Show Boat, Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. Other productions include The Sleeping Beauty, Oklahoma! and Summer Holiday.
