Die Hoenderhok [“The Chicken Coop”] is a theatre on Langverwacht Wine Farm, Western Cape. A theatre space described by many as the most intimate and character-filled in the Cape - amongst tranquil vineyards and age old oak trees.

Built in 1780, this was originally a high-walled chicken coop with no roof, with the nests built into the walls. A few of these original nooks are still visible. The beamed ceiling was added later when the coop was incorporated into the wine maturation cellar (circa 1800). Since 1996 this has become part of the reception venue at Langverwagt.

In 2005 current owner, Fanie le Roux and co-founder of the theatre, Marius du Plooy, had the reception area converted to become a 80 seater space which they now use for theatrical and musical performances from Tuesdays to Thursdays, as well as weddings and other functions over weekends.

In 2010, the theatre announced a "sabbatical" for the theatre.
