Performance history in South Africa

1868: First performed in Cape Town by Aurora II on 2 July, with Teengs's own afterpiece Opstand 1815 ("Rebellion 1815").

1868: Performed in in Paarl later in July , with the farce Niet of Graag as afterpiece.

1869: Performed under the auspices of the Orange Free State President J.H. Brand on 8 July.

1869: Performed by Aurora II in the Wynberg Aided School, Wynberg, Cape Town in August, with Tante Trui (Anon) as afterpiece.
