Cider with Rosie is the 1971 stage adaptation by British theatre director, priest, and writer James Roose-Evans (born 1927) [1] of poet Laurie Lee’s [2] best-selling autobiography with the same name.

Performance history in South Africa

1987: A South African premiere toured Natal before being presented by PACT in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Directed by British producer Malcolm Farquhar, who also appeared in the role of the narrator. The cast included Jill Fenson, Brenda Radloff, David Butler, Susan Gehr, Celeste Litkie, David Brown and Andrew Wilson. Penny Wilson was responsible for the design.
