Brian Heydenrych (1969- ). A South African stage, film and television actor.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Brian has appeared on stage in productions of Cabaret (1995), Loot (as Dennis, 1996), Boy Meets Boy (as Casey O'Brien, 1996), Die Gangsters (1997), Strangers on a Train (1999), The Blue Room (1999), Wit (2004).

He was responsible for both the sound effects and the interesting musical scoring of the play Boklied in 1998. His sole appearance on stage, in the second act, is as a silent, long suffering angel who expires before the act's conclusion (Raeford Daniel in The Citizen 14 April 1998).

Othe theatre productions include: Mame (1994); Evita (1994); La Bête (1995); Macbeth (1996); King Lear (2002); Hayfever (2006); ; Women Beware Women (2007); Kissed by Brel 2 (2008).

In 2004 he was the festival co-ordinator of the PANSA Festival of Reading of New Writing.

Brian is one of the founders of the production company Cockpit Theatre (2007). In 2013 he was the producer of a number of plays presented by Artscape at the National Arts Festival.

He has appeared on television in productions such as Othello: a South African Tale (2002) [1].
