Bettie Kemp (1952- ) is a South African actress, radio- and TV presenter, director of drama and documentaries on radio and also a television news reader and continuity announcer.

Training

She studied at the University of Stellenbosch.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student she played in Miss Los Istrata (1972) and Die Dagboek van Anne Frank.

She appeared in a B.A.T. production of Ek Onthou vir Mamma and in Bobaas van die Boendoe (PACT 1980). In later years she returned to the stage with roles in Mis (2009) and Dood van 'n Verkoopsman (2010).

She had a role in the television series Vyfster.

She played in a radio version of Die Laaste van die Takhare.

Bettie directed the radio plays The Lady from the Sea and Die Beskermengel.

She wrote and performed TaMiem van Swellendam.

Awards, etc.

She won the ATKV prize for the radio drama Intermezzo - die geheim van die muurkas.
