Ashleigh Sendin (born circa 1965). Actress on stage, film and television, singer.

Biography

She was born and raised in Bryanston, Johannesburg. In 1987 she went to the UK where she acted in various West Side productions,; she has subsequently acted in films abroad, e.g. Overhill in 2012.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Together with Diane Dupont and Memory Fick she rotated the title role for Joan Brickhill’s production of Annie which ran at His Majesty's Theatre from November 1978 to March 1979. It also starred Claire Johnston, Joe Stewardson, Judy Page and Joan Brickhill. At the end of 1982 she played the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz in NAPAC's Christmas pantomime. She also had roles in The Real Thing (1983) and Godspell by Des & Dawn Lindberg, Johannesburg Civic & State Theatre, Pta , 1985.

Other performances were in The Hollow 1983), Tarts (1985).
