Andrew Michau (19**-). Dramatist, composer, musical director and director.

Training

BA with Drama graduate of the University of Cape Town Drama Department.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has done musical work on a number of plays, as well as co-writing The Great Grimaldi Scientific Circus (with Bicki Falkof, 1997) and devising and directing Juliette Jenner’s The Dark Castle (1998). As musical director/composer he worked on Roy Sergeant’s production of Equus (19**) and Fiona Coyne’s Glassroots (2000).

Has written music for Equus, The Bacchae (2002), Oedipus The Tyrant, Glass Roots, assisted in creating Artscape's decade of democracy production, New Day, which he also conducted and co-produced.

He designed the sound for Jocasta Rising in 2004.
